This interactive session will discuss how lab on a chip technology can be used as an alternative for testing drugs and helping clinicians treat patients.

The session will look at this technology and highlight how it can be used to research some of the UKs most common diseases including, cancer (head and neck, thyroid, brain) and inflammatory diseases (bowel and lung).  The session is sponsored by the National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animal Research (NC3Rs).  The event will be led by Professors John Greenman and Nicole Pamme.
